beneficial to Dennis Gleason's brother Keith (GHS class of 1965 & webmaster of their website: Class
of
1965 Website) and his family.  Here's an email he sent:
I recently visited your site and looked at all the new additions.  Nicely done, much appreciated that you
keep on adding good stuff.   My daughter had actually found your site by googling Dennis' name
recently (since my 6 year-old grandson had started to ask questions about "his" people from the "olden
days".  So I went there and pointed out to her all of the photos of Dennis that she wouldn't have
recognized otherwise ... and told her the stories behind some of them.  So thanks, Danny,  for helping
me keep Dennis' memory alive within my family!!!
Class Dinner Meetings New Location

We are continuing our dinner meetings on Tuesdays.
On August 17 (3rd Tuesday of the month) we are meeting
at our local Pizza Hut. It is located on east Noble close to
the I-35 exit, behind Braums.
We've had a pretty good attendance each month but
would like to see more of you attend.
We need to start discussing our 50th class reunion.
Hope to see you there at 6:00.
Judith
Draggin' Main!
Guthrie, Saturday Evening, July 3, 2010
No, they weren't picking up guys, Carol, Judith, Sherry and
Mary Ann were seen draggin' main during the "Draggin' Main"
event in Guthrie on Saturday, July 3.  It spiced up the holiday
weekend with a blast from the past!  There were lots of cars,
lots of people driving up and down the streets, burning up
gas, just like we used to do.
Website Contributions
If OETA can do it, so can we.
As a way of thanking those who contribute to our website, we will list our contributors, unless they prefer
not to be listed.
Here is the first contribution since we began our new policy:
Judith,
Attached is a check to help fund your “Class of 61” with web site in honor of Bill Merrell. You may
remember me as a graduate of the class of 62. I married Bill Merrell’s sister, Sue (class of 65).  Sue
and I enjoy your web site since we both know a lot of you.
You can update bill’s death as jan 13, 2001.

They plan to make this an annual event so next 4th of
July, plan to come for the event on the evening of July
3rd. They even ordered t-shirts embroidered with
"Draggin Main" in Guthrie OK There were quite a few old
50"s cars, but alot of people just drove their regular car.
Mary Ann was driving her husband, Phil's 1950 Ford. We
had alot of fun honking at everyone and reving up those
pipes when we took off. Brought back alot of memories.
Saw many people we knew, but not too many from our
class. Ed Henke and his wife were in the parade and Ed
looked right at home. --Sherry
